Social Media Is Not Real Life

Social media is the first type of media which allows us to share our photos, ideas and feelings. The issue of this blog is that users of social medias, such as Facebook, Instagram, etc., present their life as perfect one. However, did you know that most of these profiles, which are created to show you how happy theirs owners are and how most of these profiles are just a fake which has goal to fool you and also its owner. “Everyone on social media is infected with the same problem: The very nature of it causes all of us to be fake.” (Bob Deutsch, 2018) The thing is that people do not realise that anything is perfect and I want to say that people who has Instagram profiles full of photos from parties they did not enjoy the party as well as people who are on photos. Every smile from birthday photo is fake, because behind this photo is argue about how to smile, how to stand and how many photos you have to take, so enjoy party photos, because the “perfect” photo is not real as whole social media world.

  1. I think that many people, especially young adults, are significantly influenced by social media and therefore forget that the real world is what matters the most. They put so much effort in styling their looks for a simple Instagram, Facebook or Twitter posts. Moreover, like you said, they do not enjoy activities such as parties or hanging out with friends. I believe that this issue is widespread and it is important to realize the difference between the social media life and the real one. Great blog!
